Best niacinamide serum?

I’m looking to add a nicinamide serum to my routine but I’m not sure which one to go for. Paula’s Choice have one that looks good but I’d really like some recommendations please.

TIA

I love the LRP Effaclar serum, which had niacinamide as a key ingredient but I don't know the quantity. I also use LRP Effaclar Duo, which has it too. I recently started using the Boots Ingredients salicylic acid serum (it was about £4!!) and I'm impressed, so may be worth trying the niacinamide one from the same range? I also used to quite like The Ordinary one, with zinc, but I prefer the LRP one now.

Paula's choice & obagi are my absolute favorite brands, they're absolutely worth their £££. However, the best serum I tried is the inkey list one. Cheap as chips too!

Deciem.. The Ordinary Range , they do one but I've not tried it yet
Do not be put off by the low prices , fabulous products

I've tried and liked the Revolution niacinamide serum (from Boots) and also the Inkey list one as recommended above.

Superdrug also have a good range of serums usually on offer. Haven't tried the niacinamide one but used others from the range which were really good for the price.

I've got the Inkey List one but I don't think it does much for me. I wouldn't buy it again. I prefer LRP Effaclar which, as someone else mentioned, contains niacinamide.

I like the Ordinary Niacinamide & Zinc one, it's cheap and available in Boots.

Beware though, it's 10% concentration so pretty strong - the first time I used it I put in on my face neat, and had to scrub it off after about 5 mins due to intense tingling and redness. Lesson learned.

So now I mix it with moisturiser about half and half.

Anything from Face Theory is amazing! I used to have awful skin and their cleanser and moisturiser with niacinimide worked so well for me

Look to the oracle - James Welsh on YouTube. I’d go for something Japanese or Korean and jam in some other actives. I loooooove Niacinamide, but not all Niacinamide serums do the same thing. The Ordinary one is more for oily or congested skin - and it’s a great product, but I can’t use it. Works miracles on my kids, though. You need to establish what specific benefits you want, then find one to suit you. Maybe Google Niacinamide’s effects on the skin and work out your priorities and then look at what James Welsh has to say. (Most common benefits include anti-aging, anti-inflammatory effects, help boost sunscreen & antioxidant effects, help carry retinols, pore-tightening, oil & sebum minimization, brightening effects, but often these effects are in combination with other very specific ingredients.)
Also good to look at Dr Sugai (but a lot of American products), and Labmuffin on YouTube, Beautypedia.com - the website run by Paula Begoun, the founder of Paula’s Choice (since sold to Unilever). Also love Nadine Baggott’s advice on YouTube and Instagram.
