Renting clothes

My wardrobe feels incredibly overstuffed and confusing. I'm considering a huge clear out - just keeping staples I really like and actually wear - and then using a rental service like Hurr going forwards for any events.

Has anyone done this? I don't want to act on impulse, and really want to hear stories about how people felt during and after the process. I really want a bit more simplicity in this area of my life, and less expense (for my wallet and for the planet). So I want to make it work well.

Also has anyone got any feedback about Hurr or similar services?

I was looking out of interest at The Devout, they offer rental of 5 items for £79 per month...this is where my brain goes in overdrive...I don't buy clothes every month but when I do I buy them to wear for longer term....perhaps the rental is better for those into and wanting to keep up with fashion trends rather than creating a capsule wardrobe of sorts. As for renting one dress for an event, I think depending on the price of rental vs buying it might be a good option

I really like the idea of renting a dress for an event rather than buying one. However, I’m very fussy and will usually try on quite a few before choosing one. I’ve looked at a couple of sites and it doesn’t seem cost effective to rent a couple to try first.

My concerns with rental would be the Lexi of being able to try things on. And the potential environmental impact of all the dry cleaning and deliveries.
If your wardrobe of is full of stuff, why not see what party/event outfits you have and keep the ones you like best
