Comfortable casual but not scruffy

What do you wear for general winter loafing.

I'm thinking for at home mainly but smart enough to go to the shops and do a few jobs. I used to wear leggings and and a striped top but that is very scruffy.

I'm thinking posh joggers and a nice t shirt or sweatshirt but any ideas from where. Also coat and shoe choices?

Can't be in my flip flops in November!

sweatshirt and leggings or joggers. Plain sweatshirts go with anything. I always opt for my converse or Nike air force 1 just because they go with most things and always look quite smart. Or a oversized t shirt with Jean's and leather jacket? Again leather jacket can be dressed up and down. I get my sweatshirts from boohoo, missguided, in the style and they do have some good deals at times too. I'm on the hunt for a winter coat

I think good materials and cuts can make the difference between scruffy casual and well put together casual.

In autumn/winter I focus on the materials of my clothes a lot - good quality materials that feel soft. I recently got a beautiful full length cashmere robe coat second hand and think that chucked on over jeans, boots and a cashmere jumper will look casual but still good.

I don’t think I ever look scruffy but I am causal most of the time - if I’m just in the house, it’s often leggings and an oversized jumper. If I’m out and about, straight leg jeans, jumper and DM boots or similar. But it’s all good quality, clean etc. I’ve had lots of nice stuff second hand for the same price of cheap items new.
