October wedding guest help

I've just been invited to a wedding in October. What on earth do I wear? I've not been to a wedding in yonks and certainly not when it might be a bit chilly. What is the fashion for guests these days?

For info, I'm 44, 5 ft 8 and size 8-10. I like midi dresses, midi skirts, camisoles and ankle boots for going out and tend to live in jeans, sweatshirts, t shirts in the day.

Any ideas please!

I will not wear a mashmina or a blazer, linen or a jumpsuit either!

I got married in October! Most of my guests just wore something with a bit of a sleeve and more weight to it then a smart jacket for an outside time. Some also wore fake or vintage fur stoles.
