What do we think about varsity/letterman jackets?

I am musing about owning one. I'm not for all the patches and letters that some have on them, but I like the slightly over sized, bomber jacket look and think I like some of the colour contrasts between the body and the sleeves but am not sure which colours I would go for myself, maybe black body and/white sleeves. It looks warm and comfortable. It's a casual jacket obviously. I'm 35 which maybe means I'm too old for it. What are your thoughts?

I don’t advise it. Not because of your age: 35 is young and you are in your fashion prime. It’s because I’venever seen them look good on any woman, ever. Not one. I grew up in the 1980s when they were everywhere.

She really could pull that look off. She wore some real horrors in the 1980s, then really found her style

Yes like that or like this of course in my minds eye my hair is beautifully wavy and I'm wearing sunglasses looking like a stylista but sometimes the reality doesn't turn out quite what I was going for!
