Denim Joggers -yay or nay?

What are your thoughts?

I've just bought a pair of comfy, drawstring waist, soft denim joggers. I've already decided that I'm going to keep them but are they likely to be an 'around the house' item or could I style them up?

For context (which you may/may not feel is relevant), I'm early forties and size 10 ish )

Missed off a 'thank you'. 😊

I think they’d be alright for a supermarket run, or a school run but that’s about it. I don’t think you can style them up to look stylish or smart no.

Raindrop12 · 22/08/2021 14:04

@Bluntness, that probably the extent of my average day anyway! 😂

Joggers of any sort = nay.

Chocolatecoatedkettlebell · 22/08/2021 14:18

Photos or link please. I’ve just been to our local farmers market and joggers were everywhere on all ages. As with most things, it will depend how you style them.

Struggling to upload a photo or screenshot. Hoping this link works instead.

I think they look great the way the model has them styled although I couldn’t wear those sandals. So yes I would wear those pretty much anywhere but not the office. I think the trick is to clash them. The model has the boho clash thing happening. They could also look good with a slouchy blazer and a cami

How do they look turned up? That seems to be a thing at the moment too

daisyducky · 22/08/2021 16:21

I was looking earlier today at a pair. Can't Denver what size but comfy for the school run and when I bend over in the park hopefully won't show my arse 😂

I bought a pair of balloon jeans from M&S a few weeks ago. They didn't suit me but would have been fab with a pair of heels but those days don't exist anymore sadly!

Chachachawoo · 22/08/2021 22:27

Pleasantly surprised by the pic. Think they look great.
I they are fine for everyday errands. I personally wouldn't be able to wear them for work. But lounging around and meeting friends. Absolutely.

When you said 'denim joggers' I was picturing something absolutely hideous but those are really nice - you can definitely wear them outside the house (and I might buy a pair and wear them outside the house too!)

sub453 · 22/08/2021 22:34

I also thought they sounded a bit dodgy. Until I looked at the photo and now I want a pair. There's no link to the shop in the photos though so I can see it turning into the eternal quest for me...

blisstwins · 23/08/2021 04:06

I know. I really like them too!

twelvefiftynine · 23/08/2021 04:47

I have four different pairs and I love them. Depending on the material and style they can be styled up. One pair I have just look like regular jeans, you can't tell it's a tie up waist.
Great for dinner and eating too much Grin

garlictwist · 23/08/2021 04:58

I have Ben looking for something like this. I really like them! Can you send the link Of where you got them? The picture you uploaded doesn't seem to be a shop.

Marchingredsoldiers · 23/08/2021 05:03

I really like them. And I'd wear them with heels (or birkenstocks when I feel like a bit modern Confused).

Raindrop12 · 24/08/2021 08:05

I got them from Matalan 🤫😬
I guess I'm not very 'fashion forward'!

Hi, these are just what I’ve been looking for! Can I ask what the sizing is like? Thank you

Raindrop12 · 24/08/2021 08:26

@Jayne05, they're quite generous. They also have a drawstring waist so you can nip them in if needed.

I think they look great for going to the pub, going to shops or out for a casual meal etc.

I would love a pair but have long legs and doubt the inside leg would be long enough.

Raindrop12 · 24/08/2021 08:39

They are quite short. I'm 5'5" and fairly long bodied/short legged and they end just at my ankle.

Raindrop12 that’s great thank you!
