Ouch! Timberland boots

So I'm a TK max aficionado (I know it's marmite!) but I've been looking at Docs/timberlands/hiking style boots for Autumn/winter and today got a pair of classic Timberlands for £60 in TK Maxx

I'm very happy with them but would like tips on breaking them in (I already have blisters!) Are they really awful?

Also styling?
My style is probably a edgy-casual so mostly jeans/T-shirt's or jumpsuits/dresses with boots or trainers and a leather or denim jacket
Any tips?

I don't wear the classic 6" as I prefer a shorter boot; I like the Nellie chukka style and live in them all day at weekends nine months of the year (or this year, with the weather we've had, more like eleven months!) for work.

I've never had to break them in and am a repeat purchaser. I do find the right socks can make or break a 'robust' boot, though, specially if you're planning to walk any distance.

You could also try using a different insole to change the position of your foot in the boot slightly.

Another tip is to make sure the laces aren't too tight.
