Help with jacket to go with these boots?!

I bought these boots from M&S, they're really comfy but i need a coat to go with them.

I need something practical as i walk alot, waterproof or water resistant and with a hood (it's rainy and horrible where i live at the mo)

The boots are a little trendier than I normally go for, I'm a size 8 and 5'6.

I'm thinking something beige, cream, brown etc maybe black?

What are your thoughts?

I don't think I've ever seen such a beige pair of boots. They're not trendy, more bland. Do they do them in any other colours?

I've already bought them, they're nicer in real life, actually just wore them to the shop and a random man complimented then

Khaki would go nicely with them, maybe a parka? Or a black wool coat? I wouldn't go brown or beige as it'll be a bit much I think.

A shorter trench style but in navy or khaki rather than beige.

Don't know about a coat but I LOVE those boots! (My taste in footwear is superb, but does not align with the majority of MN!)

Haha ok I'll look into navy/black/khaki, i seen this navy puffer in monsoon but not sure.

Very unusual colour. I think I'd stick with black or navy. Anything beige or khaki could look like desert camouflage gear.

Yes thanks, i definitely don't want to look military so I think Khaki is out, definitely black or navy, I'm going to look for a puffa coat as I'm always freezing!
