IPL hair removal

I recently bought a Braun IPL machine to tackle my facial hair, including sideburns. I used it for the first time yesterday and you have to shave before. It says to use it only once a week to start with, so what do I do about the hair in the meantime? I can already feel stubble. Do I keep shaving?
Any other IPL tips?

Yes, you can shave as normal in between sessions. Because you're not completely removing the hair below skin level.
Waxing, plucking, epilating etc is also ok but it's best to not do that too close to a session as the hair needs to be in its growing phase for IPL to work.

Keep persevering, I've found it to be effective.
