False eyelashes - stupid question

Anoisagusaris · 20/08/2021 12:17

I’ve never applied false eyelashes myself. My own are pretty good (well they were considered good years ago before the recent trend of massive lashes!).

Going to a wedding soon and thinking of getting some, just a natural looking set. Anyway, my stupid question is - how do you put them on? Do they come with glue or do you buy that separately?

They come with glue. I bought one recently which was a 'tester' set which had a practice set to practice with, as well as another set. I think the brand was Eyelure.

I would look at the magnetic ones too. I found them less invasive and fiddly to put on than the glue one.

They come with an eyeliner and the eyelashes just stick to it. Simple as that really.

Some sets don’t have glue and you need to check.

I would definitely go with magnetic ones. I've tried glue ones and they never stick properly, and never wanted to try the extensions as heard they damage your lashes and can't do them yourself etc. So I went for a brand called Lola's, they come in subtle ones to really over the top ones. You put magnetic liner on, let it dry for 5 mins and put the lashes on. Mine stay all day and can barely feel them!

Can anyone recommend any good magnetic eyelashes? Much appreciated!

Mac ones are great. You need to buy the glue separately. I think the ones I have used were No3.

This is how I do it-
Do my eye make up apart from mascara.
Apply lashes. Place glue on eyelash strip. Count to twenty. Then apply. Lightly press on with back of tweezers. Touch up any eye shadow/liner.
Apply mascara to help blend the falsies in!

Always always put mascara on first or they won't go on right

These are my Lola's magnetic ones, they're called Sapphire which are one of the more everyday ones. They cost £25 and I've worn them for months! I always thought my natural lashes were good too until everyone else started wearing false ones.. 😆

I just bought these magnetic ones after someone on here recommend them and they're great! The lashes are great quality and they really stay on well.

I am useless with glue lashes, but the Lolas magnetic ones have been a revelation to me. I like that I have a few goes at getting them on in the right place, and the rose quartz is 'me but better'.
