Grey hair problem

I have grey hair, and during the time I couldn't get to the hairdresser, I made the mistake of using a permanent dye. I chose something that was also grey in an attempt to brighten my hair. Unfortunately it has faded to a sort of blonde, and I hate it. Does anyone have any advice as to how I can get rid of, or fade this at home?

I all honesty I'd get to a hairdresser and get them to sort it out, you could risk making things much worse, presumably the permanent dye had bleach in it?

I wouldn't mess!

@ShrikeAttack thank you. I think you're probably right!

You could use a toner to make it more grey again until
You can vet to the hairdressers.

What colour do you want your hair?

Have you tried head and shoulders? Always makes my grey hair look good.

Agree with advice from @ShrikeAttack to go to the hairdresser! Mine is gradually sorting out the mess I made of my hair colour during lockdown….I didn’t realise the perils of permanent dye! 😉

Thanks everyone. @LynetteScavo I really want it back to my natural colour.

Head and shoulders will help strip the home dye, as will Bumble and Bumble Sunday Shampoo https://m.bumbleandbumble.co.uk/product/19047/219/care/shampoos/sunday-shampoo?gclsrc=aw.ds&

But you might want to use a purple shampoo at the same time so it's not blonde/brassy - can you post photos?
