Where to shop?

I'm trying to find an outfit to wear for going out for dinner and drinks for DH birthday but completely drawing a blank.

I'm 34, size 6-8, short, no boobs. Any ideas for shops I should be looking at would be much appreciated. I feel like I've searched every website and nothing is jumping out at me at all.

Would you feel more comfortable in a dress or trousers?

What’s your budget? And what kind of look do you like?

Happy to wear a dress, or skirt, but definitely more comfortable wearing something shorter given my lack of height.

With trousers I fall in to the same old uniform of coated skinnies and a top/bodysuit.

Budget say £150.

I play it safe style wise I think because I don't have the eye for putting things together.

Ebay. You can search for specific brands or type of item and stuff is so cheap.

@DialSquare completely forgot about ASOS so that's handy even for the website. I actually really like that dress but my size isn't available.

Hair is short (for me) just on shoulders, blonde and I tend to do a messy curl/wave.

I'm not an Audrey Hepburn I'm afraid. That's too classic/polished for me.

That's annoying as I thought I had filtered on 6 and 8. Sorry about that. But as you say, it's worth a look on there.

So I've scoured ASOS (thank you again) and these 2 look like something I would wear. Possibly more number 1 but I at least feel like I'm on the right track now so thank you for all the suggestions.

And I've ordered a jumper that the insta girl linked to (absolutely don't need more jumpers, that's where I'm most comfortable - ripped jeans and jumpers) so it's been a very productive thread for me.
