Autumn/Winter 2021 fashion thread

I can't see one so thought I'd make one. Smile

I personally can't wait for the cooler weather and cosying up in some knits at my favourite local coffee shop, watching the leaves change outside (I know, cliché!).

What fashion items has everyone got their eye on next season? Interested to hear from people that know what's "on trend", and also people that are always "off trend" but enjoy owning it!

I'll start: I want to buy my very first cashmere jumper, and some oxblood patent brogues.

Ooh I would like those too! Good call OP.

What do you think of these?

Love both - torn between loafers and brogues!

I’m keen to find some new autumn outfits for going out! I haven’t been inspired yet but need a wedding outfit too. Also after some nice loafers, have been tempted by some in Arket and Other Stories but haven’t taken the plunge yet.

EmergencyPoncho · 18/08/2021 22:57

Hmmm I'm torn, I actually think I prefer the Fifis (extra points as my pooch is called Fifi) but the Goldies are the perfect example in my imagination.

I’m loving the over-sized jumper vibe, which is weird because I hated the tank tops of old. I have bought a few from & Other Stories. It was so damb cold on Monday (16th August FFS!), that I wore one over a dress and felt good in it (cosy too).

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 19/08/2021 00:41

I got a beautiful grey cashmere jumper in a charity shop last week - brand new for £10.50! I am generally not even a charity shop person, although I buy second hand on depop a lot, but I was with my aunt who loves them.

Based on the mags I’ve seen, it looks like green could be a big colour, and the duvet coat will be going strong.

@fiorentina Let me kmow how you get on! I need some for work/going out, ideally things that I can dress up or down! I think I'm going to go for quite a few midi dresses as I'm overweight and I need something to skim my tummy.

Has anyone tried Silkfred?

@EmergencyPoncho Thanks - I think I'm feeling the same. Fifi is a great name for a dog!

Just came across this website:

www.nordstrom.com/browse/women/clothing/coats-jackets?breadcrumb=Home%2FWomen%2FClothing%2FCoats%20%26%20Jackets&origin=topnav

Never heard of them before but they have some nice pieces and not too expensive!

I bought some Nike blazers which I’m looking forward to wearing with oversized jumpers and 501s!

Nordstrom is a US department store, so while you can buy from them, you will have to pay import taxes and probably shipping on top of the item cost.

Love the colour. If I had to choose one, my pick would be the brogues
