Ballet shoe type things for fat legs

I've got size 7ish feet and fat legs. Most shoes like this I find my feet either look massive or fall out of so I've been looking for ones with straps.

I order the ones in the pic from ASOS but even though the shoe part feels perfect, the strap is too short to fasten around my ankle. I think going up a size or to wide fit would make the shoe not fit.

Any recommendations of something like this that works for those with larger ankles?

If your feet are narrow you could look at something with elastic. Like:

Just a word of warning about completely flat shoes like these: I fucked up my back from wearing ballet flats back in the early 00s when they were everywhere and I still have pain every time I get up. I was young/slim/fit and they still ruined me. They offer no support and are the devil’s work IMO! Not something to wear more than very occasionally.

@Futurecatmum2 I generally wear trainers with a bit of support, just looking for something to wear a bit smarter

I have trotters. Only skinny legs work with an ankle strap, it's the least unflattering look.
