Jo Malone perfume - tester vs actual bottle

Does anyone know if the Jo Malone testers are the same strength as the actual bottles you buy?

I had a tester of Myrrh and Tonka last year and loved it, so I was going ro get a bottle for my birthday this year. But reviews are quite mixed, with many saying it isn't strong and doesn't last long. The tester lasted ages on me and the strength was perfect, so I'm paranoid they make the testers stronger to get you to buy. Is that a thing, or have you found the bottle is the same strength? Perhaps I just have lower standards than the reviewers :P

The ones I've bought seem the same as testers in shop. I have dismissed a few after trying them as they have virtually disappeared in an hour or so. The ones I've got that last well on me are peony and suede blush, poppy and barley, wild bluebell and velvet rose and oud. I get a good 5 hours out of those and can smell them on my clothes next day.

Lots of Jo Malones are light colognes so aren't going to last.
I'd have thought the testers would be the same as the FBs though. Myrrh and Tonka is a strong one IMO (maybe that's because I didn't like it! I'm sure we all get a perfume we don't like stuck up our noses for days Grin)

I use the perfume parlour oils, same scents and last all day.

JM Myrrh and Tonka is a long lasting fragrance. I have just finished a bottle of it, and will now buy another. I have noticed their prices have gone up a couple of quid recently, though!!

Former JM worker here, yes they are the same :) as others have said Mrryh and Tonka is definitely as stronger one. Also they do last differently on different people and can smell totally different too. I have always loved Velvet rose and oud but it doesn't smell nice on my skin, smells lovely on my friend though. Top tip though don't leave your bottle on the window ledge etc, try store it away from direct sunlight and you'll find it lasts longer in the bottle Smile

Thanks all! I'll get the Myrrh and Tonka, it's the coziest scent and it lasted ages on me - glad to know it probably wasn't just the tester :)

I got a tester of pomegranate noir and adored it - seemed to last for ages. On this basis I bought a whole bottle. Never again! The smell seems to disappear after an hour or so.
