So I did the boob or bust calculator it came out I need to try a 32 F or FF! I was very surprised, I'm currently in a 36B. Is it normally right?

I went a cup size down from the recommended and it was a good fit.

ime bob is a guide
I have never found a bra that fits what bob recommends for me but it gave me the confidence to try out other sizes and brands.
sizing is never exact.

Give impressed take due to manufacturers differences and shape differences yes. If you're a 36 back I'd expect you to be a 16-18, if you're a 32 a maximum of a 12.

It was totally wrong for me. Lost a lot of weight and they put me at a 44F. Tried about 20 different bras in that size and none fitted properly. When I went to a shop to be measured they put me at 40G and the bras in that size are a perfect fit, can barely even feel them when I wear them.

Pretty accurate for me. It might feel strange at first to have a band that tight but you get used to it. I can’t tolerate a loose band these days.

Thanks I was pregnant when I got my 36B bra, it just feels like a 32 back would be too small and I don't feel like my boobs are big enough for F cup!

Was wearing a 34dd and it put me at 32ff.... Haven't looked back!

Completely wrong for me, it suggested I'm a 28FF. The band size was ridiculously tight and cup size was massive. But it did encourage me to try on bras in bigger sizes than I was previously wearing and I've now found the right size for me.

Oddbutnotodd · 17/08/2021 18:31

I went from 36C to 34DD or 34E depending on make. I’m a size 12/14. The difference is that all the breast tissue is contained in the cups of the bra. E/F cup size is not that big in reality.

lindyloo57 · 17/08/2021 18:31

Didn't work for me, I wear a 34DD and a size 12 on top 10 bottom it made me 30 ff, I tried some 32s but to tight and cups to big I seem to be short from shoulder to boobs as a larger cup comes to high into my arm pit.

Henrytheehoover · 17/08/2021 18:33

I think it is right with back/band size but not so good with cups size.

What did you measure your back/band sizes as? Because it should be the same as the number of inches you measured.

grasstreeleaf · 17/08/2021 18:41

Can't work for me. I've had a mastectomy (one side) and can't tolerate too tight a band across scars. Some of the measuring techniques don't work either. It's difficult when it becomes almost like a religion to people. Although the advice about sister sizes is useful. I can select a comfortable band which doesn't ride up to much with appropriate cup size.
