Need to pat away excess grease/moisture half way through the day onwards. Is there a good blotting powder out there that will do this? And not look cakey...?

I have spent decades searching for a product like this, but nothing actually works better than kitchen roll, I always carry a small piece in my handbag

I use a combination of the following:

  • Clean and Clear oil blotting sheets (much more effective than the paper kind - I buy them in bulk off EBay)
  • NARS pressed light reflecting setting powder - this is very lightweight and virtually invisible, and has superior oil absorbing properties.

I also quite like the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush powder compact.

If you're very oily, also recommend using a mattifying primer in your t-zone as well. Smashbox Photo Finish Light is an oldie but a goodie, and doesn't ball up.
