What should I wear ?

Just not a fan of white trainers under everything. Feel like the trend is not for me and it s everywhere.

So what should I wear that will pretty much go with lots of outfitS ? Appreciate any other options ...

Me also op despite buying some in May, they remain virtually unworn.

I'm living in sandals at the moment then another to boots but also feel I need a transitional pair.

Loafers or converse? Non white trainers?

freelions · 17/08/2021 08:17

I've got some coloured converse as don't really feel that white trainers are very me

They took a bit of wearing in (trashed my heels first time I wore them all day!) but seem to have softened up now

I wear black and leopard print vionic trainers and navy fitflop. Not through choice, I love white superstars but plantar fasciitis has broken my feet.

Loafers?

minipie · 17/08/2021 09:35

Me too - I don’t like wearing trainers with skirts or dresses, just makes my calves look even wider than they already are.

With dresses I wear espadrille type shoes a fair bit especially some Joules “flipadrilles” which are like espadrilles but with a foam sole. I guess Toms are similar.

With jeans I avoid white because they will get trashed and also the contrast makes my legs look stumpier. I wear new balance 574s mostly… super comfy.

Teva's? Or there are loads of rip-offs of them. I like the mid-form ones as they add height and are more soft/comfortable.

Or flip flops?

Darklane · 17/08/2021 10:23

Sandals or something like this. Mine are older than these & not white, I have similar ones in navy & light tan.
these

I wear sparkly fitflops. The sparkle means they are pretty and detracts from potential clumpiness.
I also bought high heeled, slightly platform sandals for when I'm not walking much and wearing a dress which is a bit too long and I don't want it dragging on the floor.
Also have grey adidas which are a bit less 'in your face' than white trainers

Hmm
Thanks so good suggestions

I don't really want other coloured trainers either
Boots maybe, not a huge fan of the heavy laced DM style that is popular at the moment but maybe a paler suede boot - problem is my back is rubbish at the moment (working on strengthening it ) so would find it hard to go a day in anything with a heel

Tons and sandals are ok but a bit flimsy and I k thinking an investment that will take me int autumn anyway ....
Teva s - not my bag at all.

Loafers - maybe- can any one reccomend a comfortable yet cool version that is not too preppy ?

I have a pair from Penelope Chilvers and a backless pair from Russell and Bromley. Those are new. My ancient ones which these replaced were from Dune

I have cream vans and black nike trainers, I switch them out depending on what suits my outfit better.
