Help! Interview clothing - leadership role

Hi
Please help Mumsnet massive - I have an interview coming up early September, it's a uni leadership role, pretty senior, but not the top layer seniority - next level down best describes it I guess

What the hell do I wear?!
I'm late 40's, a bit overweight (5 feet 8 inches size 18). Blonde hair and pale/ red looking skin (I sound terrible lol!)

I get flustered and hot very easily so need something that's reasonably light.
Trousers are best for me, in fact I may wear black trousers but will need a top.

I usually go for suit jacket but I honestly feel like a bloke, and also feel quite uncomfortable 🥵

Please help! Thank you 😊

Will it be in person or an online interview? If online then I think a smart blouse / silk shirt in a flattering tone would work. If in person then I would tend to go for a suit jacket but make it more feminine with a silk or patterned top or perhaps statement necklace? You could take your jacket off when you take your seat or after your presentation

Thank you Tig - it'll be in person. I think you're right about the suit jacket - I'd best get shopping for one - I'm broad across the back so often need a larger size.
Statement necklace sounds good!

I think maybe a trip to John Lewis is sensible - perhaps with a personal shopper ?! 😉
