1st ever unpadded bra...

I've realised I've been wearing bras too small for years - thanks to the BOB website.
I've found an unpadded bra that fits perfectly but I've always worn padded.
I haven't been able to find a well fitting padded bra in my new size.
I want to keep this bra but I feel like my nipples are going to show through all my clothes and that's not appropriate? Or is it nowadays?
Am I totally overthinking?! 😬

You're over thinking. I prefer non padded bras - I like the more natural shape. But it's up to you. Go with whatever feels more comfortable.

I think padded bras are more padded these days I had to stop wearing them I looked ridiculous. I started wearing non. Padded. And it's fine and 100% comfort.

I used to worry about it but don't care now. If your bothered by it buy some nippe covers, you get some good reusable ones now

Bananaman123 · 16/08/2021 16:14

here you go

Bonus with non-padded is they can be a lot cooler too.

Do you actually mean padded, as in wonderbra type thing? Or moulded as in sort of softshell that holds its shape? The first is pretty hard to find in larger cups but moulded should be doable, they are trickier to fit though.

Thank you all - I think I've tried about 15 dif bras and find the whole no pad/moulded style completely different - to the point it feels like I'm
Not wearing a bra, which maybe is a sign of a good bra!
I just need to commit to one, give it a go and forget about nippleage!

All my bras are unpadded, I find them much more comfortable. I have some silicone nipple covers, the same as PP posted (I get mine from eBay for a couple of quid), so I use those whenever I wear a thin top.

To me, some modern bras seem more akin to scaffolding. Being a 36F l generally tend to avoid padding or moulded, although l do have a couple of the latter.

I’m really not bothered about a slight hint of nipple, if it does show. We all have them after all, male and female. I’m more concerned that they are in the right place 😂.

Personally, I certainly wouldn’t mess around with nipple covers.

As I've got older (and droopier) padded/moulded bras don't do it for me any more as I seem to have to bundle my boobs in the cups and just feel uncomfortable all the time. I bought some thin 100% cotton 'teenage' bras from m&s a few years back, fitted some extenders on the back, and live in them now. Don't know what I'll do when they fall apart though! I'm a 36c so not very big which helps. I don't worry about nipples as the stretchy cotton flattens them a fair bit.

I settled on the Fantasie Impression - I sized down and nipples are no longer an issue!

Thanks all for the advice!
