Jeans selection like Topshop - must be from a physical store

Asking for DD (late teen), who is looking for a couple of pairs of good 'basic' jeans to wear wityh a variety of tops (so the jeans themselves need to be fairy plain).

She used to buy jeans from Topshop, where the very methodical style / colour / waist and length sizing decision tree worked well, and the pricing wasn't ridiculous. However, she did always have to try the jeans on, as she has a small waist for her hip size, and would usually have to try on 4 or 5 pairs to find 1 that fitted..

I know that ASOS does Topshop jeans online, but ordering multiple sizes and sending most back is a pain compared with walking into a physical shop and then working up or down sizes until something fits well.

So...where should she go? We live - or if needed could travel to - somewhere where most 'mainstream / national' retailers would have an outlet, but e.g. a brand with a single store in London wouldn't work.

H&M?

Can she not just buy the same size & style of current jeans?

I always get Topshop Jamie Jeans W32L32 and that’s never failed me!

Unfortunately not - for one thing she has still been growing until very recently, and for another, it does depend very critically on the exact style / pair....it is just that the Topshop model allowed her to move very logically up and down the sizes. As a silly example, a pair that works in plain denim might work while another in stretch doesn't, because the stretch is enough to cause them to pull down at the waist.

I have sworn by River Island jeans for about 10 years now!

Monki is brilliant if you're near one of their stores. Very cool (cooler than topshop actually) and their jeans fit so well.

Forgot to say I also have small waist to hip ratio and struggle to find jeans. Their Taiki jeans fit amazingly well.

I always fit Jamie W30L34 regardless of colour or season, have been buying them for years. I’d second just ordering what she last had that worked.
Alternatively River Island and H&M worth checking. Also Next sometimes.

They’re all closing down Sad, but if you can catch one before they go, Gap and the Gap outlet shops have a good range that tend to be quite well ordered.

Levi’s work on the same model. They have an outlet store at the Braintree Shopping village and I’m sure others. They’re not madly expensive either and come in a range of styles
