Just got my DAITH pierced! Any tips?

Just that really! Just had my faith pierced! I LOVEEEE it, but my god did it hurt!ShockSad

I'm now wondering what the best way to keep it healthy and clean is? I bought the saline spray from the piercing shop so I've got that to use twice daily, patting dry with a clean tissue so I don't get any cotton wool / Q-tip fibre into the 'wound'

Has anybody had a daith here before / got the piercing currently? Any tips?

I used a cotton bud and solution for mine Blush didn't have any problems and it healed quite quickly. Avoid sleeping on it to begin with and no really applicable at the moment but when my ear got cold it really really hurt. It looks nice.

Just make sure you clean it twice a day and try to keep any hair products (hair spray etc) away and it should be fine. I dont think i did anything more than that. Try to sleep on the opposite side to the piercing too!

@RamblesShambles I have always used that method for my other piercings with no issues, so I am tempted to just stick to doing that to be honest! I will see how the spraying and patting technique works.. it just doesn't feel as thorough!
It's not really hurting any more. Had it done at 3pm this afternoon, hoping it won't be too bad pain wise tonight!

@NoWittyNamesAvailable thank you! I'm already wondering how im going to wash my hair etc without getting soap and shampoo all over it 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣 I luckily decided to get it the opposite side to the one I sleep on so fingers crossed!

Saline spray twice a day, you can also dry with hairdryer on cool if you're worried about getting bits in it. Then leave it the hell alone!

It looks good!

@AgathaHarkness thank you! I'll leave it alone for sure, it's so nice that it's kind of tucked away inside the ear, it doesn't feel so exposed. I'm just gonna let it do its thing! 😁

Saline spray and prayer I reckon! I have mine done - had it in one ear and my body pushed it out, other ear worked. Been in there for over 20 years now. Still love it.

If you sleep on that side buy a travel pillow or a doughnut pillow so you can sleep with your ear in the gap bit while it heals.
