Are they really much softer than the original ones?

I love mine but find them so hard

Yes, they are a lot better.

I have found mine to be a lot softer and comfier yes.

Yes definitely, I can’t go back to the firmer footbed now. The soft footbeds I’ve bought didn’t need any breaking in, they were comfortable straight out of the box.
