Breastfeeding friendly wedding guest dress

Hi all

I’m attending a wedding in mid-September and baby will be 8 weeks so will likely be breastfeeding every couple of hours. Ideally I’d like to avoid having to dash to the toilets to feed her and I’m looking for a lovely wedding appropriate dress that I can easily access the boobs. I’m struggling, having looked at ASOS, New Look, Missguided, Seraphine…so many of them seem to be maternity AND nursing which suggests they won’t be a particularly flattering fit given my baby weight has dropped quickly.
How easy is it to feed in a non-nursing specific wrap dress? Does anyone have any pretty, midi length dresses to recommend? X

Have a look at the Facebook group ‘can I breastfeed in it?’ you’ll find lots of suggestions.

I got a nice dress for a wedding a couple of weeks ago from Jojo Maman Bebe. Like you I was a bit skeptical as it’s nursing and maternity and I’ve lost the pregnancy weight but it was actually a lovely fit and allowed me to feed whenever (which happened to include at the beginning of the ceremony and during the meal!) so if you have time I’d order one and see if you like it. Also don’t feel like you have to go to the toilets whatever you choose! Have a lovely time.

There are lots of tea dresses around at the moment with buttons down the front, those might work?

Wrap dresses would work for BF but often need a vest or something (especially if you’re wearing a nursing bra) which adds an extra layer of complications.

I’ve recently bought these dresses which work well for nursing and might be nice for a wedding:

And this jumpsuit too:

Juno Jacks do excellent breastfeeding clothes. Wish I had known about them before I went to a wedding junojacks.co.uk/

Thanks all, some great ideas here. You’re right @minipie, I imagine I probably would need a vest under a wrap dress so maybe a button down one might work better.
@pinacollama I’ve just ordered the blue and white Zara dress as I think with a belt and some heeled sandals it could look amazing and it’s a bargain too! x
