These boots but bigger!

I am on a hunt for new boots but afflicted with wide size 9 feet. I ordered these in a 42 from Penelope Chilvers and they are sadly too narrow. I have toyed with the idea of stretching them because they are beautiful and it breaks my heart to return them, but I’ve been there before and learned the expensive lesson that if the shoe doesn’t fit...

So, can anyone help me find something similar elsewhere but bigger? PC calls a 42 a 9 and I think they are long enough, just not wide enough for me. A proper 9 always fits lengthwise, but sometimes I do get confused by what different makes call a 42 vs 43.

What I am looking for is a flat boot (properly flat like these, not with a low heel) and the sort of wide straight leg. I don’t know how to describe this style any better. Also the tan colour, thick leather and lovely faded look

They are lovely. I wonder would you find similar in an equestrian/ country wear store?🤔

I think they’re called rocero boots.

Mamette · 14/08/2021 12:51

Nope, just googled, that is wrong. I will try to remember.

Sorry, it’s rociero boots.

You can get them from shoemakers in Spain, here is an example rociero boots

@Onynx thanks - I will try that but am early peruse only turned up boots that are too close to hiking boots and I want these for looking ‘nice’ 😊

@Mamette thanks for racking brains - I feel this shouldn’t be so tough and the right search term would surely help!

Check valverdebotas website. Can't link but they have some dupes of PC boots. Search on mumsnet as some have used it.
