Period Pants

Which period pants would you recommend? I ideally don't want to spend a small fortune but appreciate there is some initial outlay. Are the Bodyform ones any good?

i like the wuka ones. Not the cheapest but brilliant.

NotSureYet · 13/08/2021 18:45

Can't speak to any brands other than Thinx. They're the only ones I've tried. I'm very happy with them. They weren't cheap but I'd never go back to tampons or pads now. They've washed up well and don't appear to be wearing out at all.

Universe1969 · 13/08/2021 18:46

Have just got these for my daughter. M and s do them which are working out well so far. She also has Thinx (expensive) but good and modi bodi which are in shorts. The m and s are £12 a pair and the cheapest of the 3

Cheeky wipes all the way for us x

Evenstar · 13/08/2021 18:48

The Sainsburys ones I bought are very comfortable and seem quite absorbent.

Wantabub · 13/08/2021 18:51

Cheeky wipes here!

StarDrawers · 13/08/2021 18:55

Thanks everyone! I didn't realise they were available on the highstreet. I might try the M&S ones and see how I get on before shelling out for anything more pricey.

Oh! Or Sainsburys! Even better as the one near me does clothes.

Cheeky Wipes are dreadful. So uncomfortable and unreliable.

Modi Bodi are brilliant. They don't leak and are very comfy. Really pricey though.

MazDazzle · 13/08/2021 19:01

Modi-body.

Akire · 13/08/2021 19:04

I’ve got cheeky ones but often flood through but was expecting them to be more plastic and hold everything in. Sadly only about 40ml which isn’t more than a gush!

StarDrawers · 13/08/2021 19:04

I was just looking at those as they do a 5 pack and it works out a bit less than £12 each.

Looking for ones to wear overnight ideally.

I bought Sainsbury's ones for dd and can't fault them. Think they were £10 a pair.

MrsMortimer · 13/08/2021 19:09

I second Modi Bodi. Amazing. You need more than one pair though as they don't dry quickly enough after rinsing/washing to reuse the following night.

StarDrawers · 13/08/2021 19:11

Thanks for the tips! Really appreciated.

Another vote for the modibodi range-my 12 year old uses the teen range and they’ve been an absolute game changer for her as we really struggled to find towels that didn’t leak, these have been amazing, not cheap though but worth the money.

JaninaDuszejko · 13/08/2021 20:23

Floweret is selling sets of period pants for £8.99 at the moment. I've never used them (mooncup user here) but I saw them raved about on another thread so might be worth investigating.

JaninaDuszejko · 13/08/2021 20:24

£8.99 each - set of 4 for £35.96

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 13/08/2021 20:33

Modibodi. 100%

OakleyStreetisnotinChelsea · 13/08/2021 20:35

I chanced a Facebook advert a while ago and got some bamboo house ones. They came from China squished into an envelope but they are brilliant, so soft and comfortable and are my absolute favourites at the moment and I have cheeky wipes, wukka and fluxx. The wukka and fluxx are fine but the cheeky wipes which I used to love seem to have given up the ghost and it now soaks through to the outside layer.

didldidi · 13/08/2021 20:36

Modi Bodi for me too

Thiswayorthatway · 13/08/2021 20:37

Modibodi the best but expensive, M&S more reasonable. Cheeky Wipes very plasticy.

ElfDragon · 13/08/2021 20:44

I have used cheeky wipes and thinx.

The thinx are expensive, and not always the most comfortable - I have a few styles, and vastly prefer the cotton ones.

Cheeky wipes are much more affordable, and have been very reliable for me (I do use in conjunction with cheeky wipes pads on my heaviest days, but I have very heavy periods).

Dd1 uses thinx, on their own, and they work ok for her.

Dd2 uses cheeky wipes pants and pads, and is happy with that combo.

I have some older style cheeky wipes where the leak proofing only comes halfway up the pants at the front, which is a bit useless on anything but the lightest days, but the newer ones are full protection up to waist and, front and back, which is better (can’t remember what the style is called, but look like normal bikini briefs)

MackenCheese · 13/08/2021 20:45

Wuka from Sainsburys. My DD loves them!

DismantleMe · 13/08/2021 20:47

I don't rate the cheeky wipes ones but hey girl have been reliable and wash well.
