The new Boden mini catalogue previewing some the autumn range hit my doormat this morning. I can’t decide if they are fighting for survival or trying to shake off unprofitable plebs like me who only buys the odd thing, but the pricing is bonkers. £95 for a merino jumper? £110 for the Eva midi dress (jersey). #nothankyou Johnny.

I have been buying Boden clothes for 20 years. My dc were always dressed in their clothes.

I am wearing a Boden top today that I bought 16 years ago. I wear it all the time. I have it in 4 different colours. It is in near perfect condition.

But the prices are so so high. Especially the dresses. I can buy a similar dress from Fatface for £60. Whereas Boden will be at least double that. Swimwear is extortionate. £85 for a costume. I bought one from Sainsbury's last week for £16 and it's fabulous and fits much better than the Boden one that I sent back.

I think Jonny is only aiming for Kate Middleton to buy and wear his clothing these days.

I will concede to that.....they are definitely not as bad.

I went off them once I exceeded a size 14 because I am short and the petite range stopped at size 14. Apparently short people are not allowed to put on weight in Boden world. Fatists!
