How to style a suit for a wedding (woman!)

I want to be brave and wear a trouser suit for a wedding. I’ve found a pink one and a purple one (slim fit trousers and blazer jacket). What do you wear under them?! And shoes?! I normally play it safe but I want to push myself to wear something a bit ‘cooler’!

Good choice! This may not be your taste but I'd probably go for a fairly plain, round neck top - a similar shape to a T but in a nicer fabric, e.g. silk or linen. I'm quite fussy about where the neckline sits - not too high and not too low.

I think a silk shirt or a tie neck can also look good although I sometimes find there's much going on when there's a jacket worn on top - clashing collars, lapels etc.

I always wear flats and have some 'best' two-colour brogues for this type of occasion.

If I wanted to soften up the look a bit I'd add jewellery.

I was thinking a sort of all in one thing (the things that look like a swimming costume but button up at the crotch.) they do ones that are corset effect but could look quite nice? Not sure if too risqué!

I have bought one for a wedding, it arrived today. I love it, it also I’m on the fence. Maybe it’s too OTT. Would love to hear how it went for you 💕

So many women wear jumpsuits to weddings now that it’s not that much of a stretch to a trouser suit. I’ve done it and don’t think you’ll feel odd at all.

My wedding is abroad in Ireland. So I guess I don’t know what’s in or out there either.
