Denim jacket

Thinking ahead to Autumn I'd like to buy a denim jacket and maybe some low sitting trainers, no sign of us going back to the office so I can stick with the dressing down.

Question is, where will I buy the denim jacket? I hate online shopping, our local town has gone to ruin in the last year so I'll have to make a trip into the city. I'm so easily distracted, please give me a few shops to hit before I get distracted and come home with nothing.

I'm size 10, 5'6, if that helps.

I wanted a Denim jacket, didn’t want to spend a lot, picked one up in Primark for £13, it’s a really nice jacket, lovely soft denim. I live in a city, we have a very large store there was a great choice of colours and sizes. Good luck in your search and I you find your jacket.

I know ebay can be a bit of a gamble for clothing, but it is awash with denim jackets. I got mine on there - originally from Gap.

I love a Denim jacket! I’ve got a few. One from All Saints that’s really baggy on the arms (and my arms aren’t particularly slender), a Levi one that I love and had for about 20 years, one from Miss Selfridge that still transfers dye and my absolutely favourite one is from Mint Velvet bought recently in the sale. Lovely and soft, lovely colour and very slightly cropped so goes nicely with dresses as it cuts just above the waist.
So my recommendation would be Mint Velvet or Levi.

I second the cheaper stores. Primark, new look, Matalan, and peacocks

I've got the £13 primark one. It's ridiculously good for the price.

I bought a denim jacket online from M n S - the one with a bit of stretch in - and it’s become my go-to jacket. Just love it. I ordered my usual size and it was a good fit. I think it was £35

GAP are closing down... I just got a denim jacket for less than half price! Great denim and fantastic price. So if you're quick, GAP could deliver!

I bought mine from M&S , after I bought it I went to Primark where they had some much cheaper but mine is heavier denim and will probably be able to wear it in late Autumn or early winter.

I have the Gap oversized, the online stores are staying open but they usually have lots of offers.

Roselilly36 · 11/08/2021 16:39

Did you find a jacket OP?

TurnStone · 11/08/2021 16:49

T K Maxx

Denim jackets are very useful but denim jackets over a long ditsy print dress and white trainers is such a uniform of the masses. Please just don't.

Oh dear, that's my go-to look

Aww @honeybuns007 don’t be a party pooper!

Fluffmonkey82 · 11/08/2021 17:28

My 8 year old DS wanted one for his birthday (bit strange I know!). I got him a lovely one from TK Maxx, not a shop I am particularly fond of but may be a good place to look.

Gardenwalldilema · 11/08/2021 18:41

Thanks for all the tips! I might do a trawl of the cheapie shops in town, and if not order some from Marks and Gap and see how I go. Will report back Smile

My go to for denim jackets is Next the have a bit of stretch in and are so comfy I must have had 6 or 7 in past few years.

TangledTrees · 11/08/2021 19:54

I have a Next bigger bust one, it’s very soft and stretchy.
