Tips for taming DD fine and flyaway hair?!

My DD is 5 and has beautiful long hair, it doesn't really tangle and is lovely and thick.... however it's a bloody nightmare to style/put up.... as soon as I have I done lovely french plaits she looks like a bloody lion with bits sticking out all over the place and just looks a bit scruffy!

I've tried lots of things, but either the don't work or they make her hair sticky/greasy etc

Are there any products people can recommend to help me tame it a bit and keep it looking neater for longer?

I've considered moose, but can you use that on dry hair? Would I then have to wash her hair every day? Really don't want to be doing that!

Many thanks in advance!

Tinned wax. Put a tiny bit on your fingers and put it over the ends of her hair. A really light coating. It works really well.
