Dds have run out of cleaning solution that they got given. Can they use something like diluted Milton or do I need to get them the specific solution?

Yes you could use diluted Milton as that is the active ingredient in some branded solutions. It won't be unsafe, as long as you dilute it enough.

But way better still is saline solution. More effective and even cheaper

Hardploc · 10/08/2021 08:44

It’s not necessary

I used to use salty water! I don't think I've ever used the actual solutions. I have had lots of piercings

Hopefully they were pierced with a needle not a gun. If for whatever mad reason it was a gun, the heal time will be far longer due to the trauma of shooting a blunt earring into the lobe.

Salt water is fine to keep it clean with.

Half a pint of boiled water and a pinch of sea salt is what my piercers said. Had mine done 2 weeks ago. I add the salt when water still really hot so it dissolves. Did this for my dd too and hers healed really nicely. Twice a day.

Using saline solution bought from Boots for my DD who had hers done with a needle 3 weeks ago. I asked the pharmacist in Boots.

Saline solution is the best thing to use, its so much easier than making salt water twice a day, and it's hard to get the right quantities if doing it yourself!

I buy stericlens from amazon which is cheap and cheerful

Givemebackmylilo · 10/08/2021 18:24

Dirt cheap saline solution

Smashing, thanks all
