Decent jeans

I’ve never had a pair of fancy-ish jeans. I’m usually £40 max from Topshop, Gap or Next.
A year or so ago I lost the weight I’d gained through having kids. I’m not having any more and I’ve rebounded by a few lbs (which I expected) so I’m hoping my weight will be fairly stable here on in.

I’m 5’4 so usually need a shorter 30 inch leg and around a size 12 (9.5 stone). I have narrowish hips but sturdy thighs and not a flat stomach. I tend to like a slightly higher rise to suck stuff in a bit. I think I’m usually around a 30 inch waist.

I don’t suit mom or boyfriend (tried tons on). I look best in fairly skinny or straight jeans.

Would love a really nice pair of black (not faded) jeans that are potentially smart enough for smart/cas office wear. Happy to spend up to £100.

Any brands/styles worth looking at? Thanks!

I love Tommy Hilfiger Sophie. They are low rise but come in a lovely dark denim that’s smart enough for work and go with everything. They also come in a very black black. Cost between £80-£100. I’m heavy of leg, not overweight with a slim waist. High rise jeans, in order to get over my thighs and bum, end up having to much fabric around my midsection and make me look like I have acres of backside and a belly!

I think you're best off getting a pair of Levi jeans. They're around £70-£80 and sound like what you are looking for.

Personally I would order 3 styles in 2 sizes each, try on at home with different outfits and return what dosnt fit.

Thanks so much both. I’ve just ordered £510 worth of Levi’s in a variety of sizes. I found a thread saying they come up small so I’ll try not to be disappointed when I end up needing a bigger size than I’d like. I just measured my waist and the weekend chips and Prosecco definitely shows 😆
