Long top half and dresses

I have a long top half, and the waist of dresses sits on the bottom of my rib cage rather than my waist. Does anyone else have the same problem and/or are there any dresses that are better in this scenario.

No solution I’m afraid but hoping someone else does as i have Exactly the same problem. Compounded by disproportionately large boobs so the waistband of some dresses is actually on my boob rather than below, let alone on my waist. I wear a lot of wrap dresses which work best but anything else is a disaster. A shift dress starts widening for the hips exactly when it should be narrowing for my waist.

Same here, so I always go for skirt and top. I try dresses but I'm always disappointed or uncomfortable.

I've tried long dresses so far, but the waistband never touches my waist.
Glad to know that I'm not alone though.

This is me too, I don't buy dresses with waists anymore as they never sit where they're supposed to.
I wish more retailers had a tall option, some do but not much choice usually.
