How to dress up this dress?

I’ve bought this dress. It’s a bit longer on me than the model but looks good with trainers. What shoes can I wear to dress it up? And what to wear on top if it gets cold? www.joythestore.com/louche-avril-carnation-print-short-sleeve-midi-tea-dress-red/p

Nice pair of wedges?

TrevorWithTheWeather · 06/08/2021 23:41

Nice denim jacket

TickledOnion · 07/08/2021 00:09

I need something smarter than a denim jacket. That’s my casual option.

It's a pretty dress. Keep it for summer and don't cover it! Nice sandals and bag should do the trick.

grasstreeleaf · 07/08/2021 10:09

Linen jacket

Strappy sandals

Soft cardigan

waltzingparrot · 07/08/2021 12:15

pale leather jacket

notacooldad · 07/08/2021 12:22

I have a fees from Monsoon similar that I wear to work. I wear it with Hite Nike Air and an old Gap Devin jacket.
I know, a universal look at the moment but it suits me and is practical.

Flyinggeese1 · 07/08/2021 12:46

OP is it to dress up for evening or to make it smarter for daytime, e.g. work? I think you have several options but it depends on when it’s for.

Squiz81 · 07/08/2021 13:34

Lightweight cashmere type jumper if it gets cold

Flyinggeese1 · 07/08/2021 14:11

I think it would look great with a belt and either fitted leather or linen jacket for evening, plus heels.

MakeMathsFun · 15/08/2021 20:19

Definitely not the shoes that the model is wearing! Black police boots would look great with it: strength, power, independent, confident.

Paulinna · 15/08/2021 20:23

Bright blue high heeled boots, and a full length coat if it gets cold.

Jerseygirl12 · 15/08/2021 20:54

If keep it for summer days.

MakeMathsFun · 15/08/2021 21:06

No shoes: barefoot!

Miracle29 · 15/08/2021 21:07

Leather jacket and black boots or strap heels

VanillaAndOrange · 17/08/2021 10:15

I like it with the shoes in the picture (I've got a very similar dress in green and I wear it with that kind of shoes a lot), but for a smarter option, I think I'd wear cream wedge sandals or espadrilles and a short fitted cardigan in either white/cream or a completely contrasting colour, maybe bright blue or yellow. It could be worn with black shoes and cardigan/jacket but I don't think that would be the most interesting option.

I wouldn't bother. That dress looks frumpy and soooo " run with the pack" . Sorry, but it is a waste- of- money/ one- season- cbeap- looking dress.

Well that's helpful advice seeing as the OP has ALREADY BOUGHT IT!

I'd pair the dress with shoes like this in this colour or a bold colour.

Why be mean with your words?
So you do time it🤷‍♀️
Others do.
It's not difficult not to be a bitch.

I’ll have it if you don’t want it!

Almost any shoes would go.

Add large black beads or a chunky statement necklace. And when nobody’s looking, stand in front of a mirror where there is lots of space and do a twirl! It’s fun 💃 !
