Everyday perfume that ‘floats’?

Love Alien and JPG Classique, but need a much cheaper day to day perfume. Excellent ‘floating’ quality essential, I like it to waft along behind me for all to inhale! 😊 TIA.

Have you tried perfume parlour? It does copies of both of these I think and they're decent quality

HalloHello · 06/08/2021 10:24

If I can smell your perfume as you 'waft' passed me, you're wearing too much. No need.

Mrs08 · 06/08/2021 10:26

Next cashmere

Definitely Perfume Parlour. They'll have dupes of the ones you like, cost a fraction and by and large are excellent, especially on "newer" fragrances.
I have about 80 of their dupes and most of the real versions too. The only dupes which are not comparable in my opinion are the old classic Chanels and Guerlains. Everything else is spot on. (in fact some of the old 80s scents have now been reformulated beyond recognition but the PP versions remain true to the original so I prefer them- Opium is one, and Rive Gauche another.)

Absolutely agree I use pp dupes for several scents and would never buy the originals again

Yep. When you’re generously wafting your perfume for all to inhale, you are triggering allergies and asthma left, right and centre.

This. Sorry but it's not wafting, it's reeking. Generally I find that if you can smell your own perfume for more than 5 mins you've put far too much on.

Stick to the good stuff and wear a little less so it lasts longer. Thanks

So you want a really strong perfume to impose it on others?

Hate to be sat next to you on a train/ in a restaurant/ at work.

Fortunately I have bad sense of smell but I know a lot of people would find this headache inducing.

Mamette · 06/08/2021 10:41

I wouldn’t want to be forced to “inhale” a cheap perfume. Why not just keep your nice ones for special occasions and use something lighter day to day?

Galassia · 06/08/2021 13:09

Google fragrances with strong sillage as that is the technical term for the projection of a perfume as opposed to ‘wafting’.

cardoon · 06/08/2021 13:22

Hate a strong sillage, makes me feel sick and gives me a headache Envy

CornedBeef451 · 06/08/2021 13:54

Please don't do this! I don't want to smell your perfume and it can trigger a migraine that can keep me bedridden for days.

I think perfume should be subtle and only smellled if someone leans into your persoanl space. If it's wafting behind you then you are wearing way too much and it is antisocial and just disgusting.

I would rather sit in a cloud of noxious farts on the train than in someone else's pefume cloud as that is much less likely to make me ill.

Next Cashmere is lovely.
