Is this ok? What do I accessorise with it? It fits and I like it but I want to look lovely (difficult at 55 with a Klingon forehead, squinty eyes and a turkey neck!) Wedding not for another year and in a field if that helps.

That's pretty. I like the shape too (I'm almost your age).

The shoes in the picture go really well, but I'm not sure you'd want them in a field unless there is planking everywhere.

Also, apparently you can get little plastic "heel protectors" which look a bit like the stem and base of a wine glass

How about sunflower earrings and necklace? (or is that just too try-hard? - I'm getting back into this after years away) They seem to be everywhere at the moment, some nicer than others - I quite like this one.

I like those sandals. I will have to wear flats as I cannot walk well in heels, although i do have a year to practice.

Lovely dress! I'd suggest quite pared back accessories with it because of the sequin detail. How about a gold cuff bracelet and some beautiful matching earrings?

Would you rather have a heel? Wedge sandals might work.

I got it before it sold out DufferMum and have been looking at it since trying to decide if I like it! Thank you for the suggestions I will have a look at the jewellery as all of mine is silver.
