Cross-body version of this bag?

I really love the style of this bag from River Island - the woven effect in black leather or leather-look. The problem is the strap isn’t long enough for it to be worn cross-body and is a bit too wide for my liking. Has anyone seen similar styles in cross-body bags anywhere please?

No, but I like the bag. Just use a strap that is long enough as it clips off.

Was just about to say the same.. have you got another black bag that you can use the strap from?

Tafelberg · 04/08/2021 14:26

@ILoveShula that is a good idea - thanks! Annoyingly, the reason I was looking for a new cross-body is because the strap (also a clip on/off) on my old one is broken - it would’ve been perfect on this bag too. I’ll definitely consider this as an option if I don’t get any other suggestions.

I have bought several from here and been really pleased with the quality.

You could make a strap out of a belt or long strip of webbing.
Or you could but another bag and swap the straps.

If the RI bag strap is long enough, make more holes in for the buckle to go through.

buy not but

Lots of bag straps for sale on eBay. All budgets and colours etc

Thanks so much, I will definitely do this! I don’t think the strap was long enough to add more holes into and was also a bit too wide to be comfortable across the body - but sure I can find another one on one of the sites suggested Smile
