It seems a shame. From starting as a company in Notting Hill in ‘98. It’s just been sold to a big multinational!

I hope they don’t ruin it.

No!!!!

The founders sold out years ago. They had less than 0.6% of the company as of November 2015 as reported in The Guardian. L Catterton had 60+% of the business and Wittington investments the second major shareholder.

I ope the quality won't drop. I love their leggings and yesterday I picked up a waterproof parka, so lovely i kept parading around the house in it. (sad)

Dentistlakes · 04/08/2021 12:49

I hope the quality stays the same. Their leggings are brilliant although expensive and I love their running tops.

This is the same thing that happened to Lululemon. I've purchased a few pairs from them in the past 15-20 years during visits to Canada and then the US. They had amazing leggings when they first launched as a brand. But then they sold the company to Adidas (I think) and the fabric quality just isn't the same anymore.

AnnieSnap · 04/08/2021 13:37

I find Sweaty Betty usually better than Lululemon. This doesn’t bode well.

@WineGetsMeThroughIt LuluLemon are a publicly traded company in their own right, they're not owned by Adidas. They're not a company I would buy from for ethical reasons.
