For DD not me, she lives in skinnies, but wants to update her look, she's currently a 14/16 but 1 she doesn't like things like mom jeans, joggers , harems etc 2 she's a carer so doesn't have much money to spend on clothes ( she would have more if she didn't spend so much on books).

I recently bought some jeans from New Look, i didn't want to spend much as I just wanted to experiment with a new style. I was really surprised how nice they were and what good quality the denim was.

What an odd thing to say. What's wrong with spending money on books?

If she wants more straight/slim pants she can look into chinos.
