Is best for aching bones. I usually have a relaxing one but wondering whether a sports massage would be better...any one had a sports massage

I am not sure any massage is going to be good for aching bones...

I don't bother with "relaxing" massages, deep tissue or sports only for me. It's not a proper massage if there's no pain. I have very tight muscles and sports massage helps to release them. So it depends what you want really...

Have you had a hot stone massage? Its blissful.

I know they are more relaxing spa style but the warmth really helps with aching (I have a 'slipped disk' and the pain clinic advocate heat for pain relief - something to do with "enzymes")

I'm also wondering what massage to have as my bones ache too!

I don't think a sports massage sounds like what you want, I imagine aching bones means you feel quite delicate and a sports massage is quite intense!

Also echo pp for a hot stone massage for deep blissful relaxation. But massages are about muscles, not bones really

Hot stone. The warmth is lovely.

Could you try a spa day? Really warm up with a jacuzzi, sauna/steam and then a hot stone massage ask for warming oils - ginger based or maybe pepper.

Hi, I don't believe you want a sports massage; I assume painful bones make you feel fragile, and a sports massage is rather intense! People with muscular discomfort and stress, as well as those who just wish to relax, benefit from a hot stone massage. This therapeutic massage is identical to Swedish massage with the exception that the massage therapist utilizes hot stones. The use of hot stones helps to relieve strain on bones and joints, alleviate muscular tension, increase blood flow, and reduce discomfort.
