Help me find fabulous maxi dress

Hi
I have a work party to go to in August - it’s a drinks & nibbles kind of thing, not posh, but for various reasons I want to look really amazing! Help me find a summer maxi dress. I’m tall (5ft 8in), size 10-12. Not strappy or backless as I have quite broad shoulders. Bright colours good as have dark/olive complexion & dark hair.
Willing to splash out & spend more than I normally would (I tend to buy lots of second hand stuff on eBay). £50 or thereabouts??

I love the Kensington dresses from Hush. Bright beautiful prints snd colours. Dress up with wedges, or dress down with trainers. And they have elasticated waists and pockets, so super comfy. This year's version is bright red

I have this one and it's sooooo flattering. I'm planning to buy it in a couple more prints. It's polyester but I wore it during the heatwave and it was fine.

I second this, I have two of the Dove dresses and they are so flattering and great quality. Can also be bought direct from Dancing Leopard rather than through Silk Fred

I bought this on whim and its the best dress I've bought for years. Colours are really bright and it's super smooth on - it has a great waist. It caps the shoulders well. I'm not your size- I'm an 18 with a big bust and shower than you - but it's good and long (I like my maxis very very maxi) and can be dressed up or down.
Some lands end stuff is a bit odd bit the fabrics hang really well and some of my favourite clothes come from there.

Can I ask, what is the Dancing Leopard sixzing like?

The DL Dove dresses were true to size for me - go for the size that fits your bust as they are belted at the waist and plenty of fabric at the hips. I was able to wear mine whilst heavily pregnant!
