Highlights for greying brunette hair?

I'm naturally dark brunette but the greys are now coming through thick and fast. I started dying them a solid brunette colour but the roots come through again after a few weeks. Wish I'd never started!

Would having some blonde highlights through it make the regrowth less obvious? My concern is that when I've had balayage before and bleach was used, my hair was frazzled!

Interested in what other people have done. I'm open to growing out the grey but would like to look nice in the process!

I'm the same. I have my highlights done every six weeks. The colours aren't solid block so they blend in with emerging greys.
It costs £82 so £13.50 a week.
During covid I went four months without, and was surprised how the grey made me feel grim and low. And made me look much older. So for me it's worth it just to keep me cheerful and confident.

Non-bleach, they use rich slightly lighter brunette tones.

I have caramel and honey hi lights put through mine and my hairdresser artfully blends them well around the temples to disguise the grey. I have bleach with a toner on top and she breaks it up with the odd mid brown. I'm told the end result is very natural looking.
