What to wear to L’Enclume?

Help! Going out for dinner next week. I live in the arse end of nowhere and am a single parent so can’t shop easily. I ordered loads of clothes online (everything from LBD, to maxi skirt, to dungarees!) None of it fits properly or looks ‘right’.

Has anyone been? How posh (or not?) should I be aiming for?

Already in my wardrobe, I have a couple of ‘fit and flare’ type dresses (but no idea what I’d wear on my feet as last time I wore them heels were still in fashion), the usual maxi skirts, skinny jeans etc. Tbh though, I’ve been living in ‘active wear’ for the last eighteen months so totally lost my fashion mojo.

Before the date, I can get to supermarkets or M&S, not much else. I’m not adverse to paying for express delivery though if anyone has any amazing recommendations.

Help? Ideas? Thank you!

What time are you going? Daytime or evening?

I know I don’t need to be super fancy, but it’s a bloody good excuse to get dressed up and I’m gutted that the stuff I’ve ordered is all wrong. I hate online shopping!

We go a couple of times a year @AttaGirrrrl, it's actually fairly casual, you'll see lots of people in jeans, some people get dressed up, it's not super-formal though, anything goes really!

Have a lovely meal, I love it there!

It’s fancy and delicious, but relaxed and not snooty. And despite being tasting menu, very filling (we asked them to stop bringing us stuff halfway through Grin), so nothing form-fitting.

Some people were very dolled up, some weren’t. You can still wear heels even if they’re not in fashion! One of your fit and flare dresses and new heels from M&S?

I’m also very into the Ghost dresses at M&S, which should be in store as well as online – this one has a stretchy waist panel to accommodate pudding: www.marksandspencer.com/floral-frill-detail-shirred-midi-tea-dress/p/clp60512197?color=MULTI
