I am looking for recommendations for comfy ballet flats with some support (knee arthritis) please as I have heard some of them are bad for the feet?

Flats aren’t great if you have knee/hip/back issues. Perhaps look for some with arch support or get an orthotic insert. My go to are trainers as they have a thicker sole and more support. I do have ballet pumps but I haven’t worn any in a couple of years.

Ballet flats are terrible for knee problems. You need shoes which aren't completely flat and which have some arch support, eg Birkenstocks, Ecco, Gabor.

I love my hush puppy Janetta flats and you can get a wide fitting so can pop an orthotic insole in too.

I have some supportive versions from Gabor, which have cushioned exterior sole, with slight rise at back of heel, higher leather at front so they cover the toes and fit without the gape you can get with some ballet flats at the side of the shoe. Also good inner sole. Not the cheapest but you can pick them up in sales and they last! Look fine and you forget you are wearing them and I have flat feet, so need support.

I like Geox for some support.

Thank you, I will look into these.
