Going to a wedding reception next week so don't have time to order loads of things. Size 16/18, self conscious about my stomach. Tall. Broad shoulders. Don't want to spend much more than £100. Heeellppp please!

Hmm I think I'd feel like I was wearing a binbag in that!

TBH my first port of call would be something along the lines of what @Blondie1984 linked too. Fabulous on the tall and broad shouldered.
What sort of thing do you wear day to day? That’s usually a good starting point.

Keiki · 28/07/2021 19:03

Hmm, OK, maybe I need to try it on. My everyday wear is shorts and tshirts, dresses are not my forte!

Ooooh I love the dress that Blondie linked

NashvilleQueen · 28/07/2021 19:08

That dress would only work with a tan/darker skin. You'd look a washout if pale.

I have broad shoulders and halter necks make me look like an all American wrestler, I think v necks are more flattering for broad shoulders IME. Do you like your legs? Would you prefer a Long or short dress?

Keiki · 28/07/2021 20:07

Ah, that could be a problem then. Perhaps something similar in bluey colours?

Maybe a halter neck jumpsuit if you’re happier in trousers?

Anniissa · 28/07/2021 20:38

I don’t find high/halter necks work well for broad shouldered women and can’t see that dress being terribly flattering unless you are tall and skinny with a good tan/darker skin. Definitely think something with a v neck might be better particularly if you’ve got bigger boobs.
