Child’s dress for wedding evening do

Looking for suggests for what my 8 year old could wear to a wedding please.

It’s a late summer/autumn wedding, we are only going to the evening do, so ideally something that can be worn again for birthday parties/discos etc.

Budget up to £40ish for the dress (will also spend more on shoes etc)

Have a look at H&M, Monsoon, Debenhams, John Lewis... Let her pick something.

I personally would wear something different to an evening invite than if I had been invited for the day- so depends if you are going in typical wedding guest dress or -as I would, dressed for a smart evening out in which case it would be anything not denim/trackies/ beach wear for a child.

II would avoid white and anything too bridesmaidy at aged 8 (I really love tiny little girl guests in pink tulle but that is a massive no no on mn)

Next have lots and lots of choice.

Also depends on her personal style too and what she find comfortable.

As @cherrypiepie says, if it's just the evening do, she should just wear what she might wear if you were going out for an evening meal or family party, so a pretty sundress is ok, but not tulle and sequins.
