Brogues/lace ups for wide feet?

I’m after something that works with skirts/tights and trousers for work in winter. I’m thinking some brogues or lace ups but I have REALLY crap feet. Really wide, bunions, fallen arches, capsulitis…. Where can I find a pair of smart lace ups that don’t look uber frumpy??

Are Clark’s Hamble Oaks in a wide fit too narrow?

How do you feel about DMs?

Beenheresomanytimesbefore · 27/07/2021 19:01

I have looked at Clark’s hambles but from memory they are a bit too high at the back so cause blisters. DMs are probably a good shout as my podiatrist has said my feet need ‘scaffolding’ but I’m not sure if they come wide enough? I’m an EE fitting easily but with a narrow heel so lots of the wider fit shoes slop about at the back. I’m actually wondering about Birkenstock shoes but not sure if they are supportive enough.

I usually wear a Clark's side fit @Beenheresomanytimesbefore, and find DMs too wide, even with an insole. Could be that I am a see 9, so they are men's shoes.

Have you looked at Simply B.

@BikeRunSki yes possibly - I’m only a 4!

@dogsausages yes I have, but nothing there suitable really. Im not massively fussy about style but I do want something good quality and they all look a bit flimsy!

I'm looking for the same sort of thing, so will be interested to see what people recommend
