What to put under a dress like this

I have a dress very very similar to this that I want to wear this evening. The problem is it shows off my bra/flashes too much.

Does anyone have any genius ideas about how I could wear it? All my t-shirts seem too thick to go under it and I haven't got a plain white one.

Its very hot here today ~30° so I want to be cool.

I wear a vest top under mine if I'm going out in public in it, otherwise I just wear my bra underneath when at home.

Sometimes you can safety pin your bra to a dress to stop it showing.

What’s it like with no bra?

stripedbananas · 25/07/2021 15:51

I would wear dresses like this bra less when I was younger and perkier

stripedbananas · 25/07/2021 15:53

However that said I'd probably find a bra to match the turquoise or a colourful bra that didn't look so bra like or a Sweaty Betty type colourful sports bra

ChunkySloth · 25/07/2021 15:59

I couldn't go out with no bra on.

A pretty bra or boob tape/pins. Anything underneath would be far too bulky and hot.

DazzlePaintedBattlePants · 25/07/2021 16:54

You can’t, really. Whatever you wear is going to be on show and it needs to be small enough so that the cups aren’t seen behind the dress fabric, with pretty straps as they will have to be on show. The dress v neck means you can’t get away with a strapless bra as they tend to be bandeau style.

ThatOtherPoster · 25/07/2021 17:12

I’ve got a strapless bra from M&S (it’s called a multi-way bra, comes in packs of two for about £15) and that’d work order there. It’s amazingly strong. I’d probably pin or tape the dress to the cups if it was going a bit gappy at the sides.

Or I’d wear one of those stick-on bras that are literally just two individual sticky cups.

Lunificent · 25/07/2021 17:16

Strapless bra or a quick strap alteration to pull dress higher.

ElizabethTudor · 25/07/2021 17:18

Decent elastane cami-vest that has good boob support?

ElizabethTudor · 25/07/2021 17:19

Like this (but not in black, obviously)

Gorgeous dress, a tee shirt underneath would ruin it. Is much of your bra showing ? I wouldn’t be too bothered with bra strap or a bit of bra showing at all but I’d wear a nice bra with maybe lace trimming not a washed out granny one

Would something like this work

Thanks everyone, I wore a different dress in the end.
