I'm not sure whether to leave them as they are or shorten them further & my friends would probably just say they're fine as they are .

Would you shorten these trousers?

If you're wearing them with flat shoes then definitely shorten them a little. Also , that style of trouser are designed to just hit your ankle I think , so another reason to get them altered.

Where are they from op? They're really nice.

They were a bargainous £10 from Primark! I really like them...just haven't bought anything other than jeans for many years & not entirely sure what to do with them Blush

I'll try just turning them up again before I think about unpicking & re-hemming them. I'm not entirely sure the turn ups are properly done; I think they're a separate piece so I'd have to taper the legs too.

You might get away with turning them up then topstitching them in place iyswim. Definitely worth a try.

What a bargain.

Could you pull them up a bit further so they’re more high-waisted? Then you wouldn’t need to turn them up.

lucysmam · 24/07/2021 20:14

Yes, I think I'll start by trying that before I think about getting out the seam ripper. Thanks for looking HappyWipings.

If I'd bought a smaller size I probably could Ella, but I think they'd have been tighter on my thighs. Maybe I could alter the waist elastic somehow though...
