Help! Wedding in 8 weeks and no dress

I’m (rather surprisingly) getting married! Never ever thought I would be again but i found the right guy for me and he feels the same about me so he asked and I said yes!

We’ve been very lucky in that the wedding was planned for September and it looks like we might be ok to have our day as we want it (fingers crossed). Everything else has gone seamlessly ... the lovely country pub we wanted can have us, the guests can all come, found wedding rings we love and a suit for him but I can not find a dress.

I do not want a wedding dress... I want a long fitted either floral or pale coloured or embroidered dress which has straps wide enough for a bra. I’m about a size 12/14 but I have big boobs so a bra (not strapless) is essential. I’m very much an hour glass with small waist but big boobs and hips. I can’t find anything .... if they are long and fitted they are either black or have no back or shoe string straps. Or they are mid length which I hate.

This would be perfect but it’s an old Karen Millen dress so no longer in stock - this one is on eBay but a size 12 in KM would never fit me as they size quite small but I like it and I'm looking for something similar ..... any ideas gratefully received.

The hourglass dress from the site you linked would be absolutely perfect if it was full length .... I saw they do a bespoke service which says they can swap styles and material around so I’ve emailed them and thrown myself on their mercy 😄 to see if they’d consider just adding a foot to the bottom! Because then it would be perfect ... fingers crossed 🤞

Thank you. The material in their dresses is perfect but their styles are mainly too floaty for me. I actually ordered the Elliana but I couldn’t get it to work with any bra ... straps too narrow to hide a bra and strapless bras, which I hate anyway but tried out of desperation ended up sticking out over the top and sides. That’s when I gave up on strapless because the dress is lovely!

If you like buyersgreens dress, also look at Jarlo London, they do lots of dresses like that and offer a bespoke option - we've had a few of their dresses and they're good quality.

How about this www.nancymac.co.uk/collections/reds-and-burnished-golds/products/ida-maxi-dress-in-ruby-stork-crepe-1

Or any of the maxi dresses in that website - they're gorgeous!

A little update in case anyone is interested ….

ByersGreen - you are my hero!!

The totally marvellous Little Dress Company not only agreed to make a full length version of the hourglass glass dress for me; they tracked down my perfect “wish list” fabric and made and dispatched it in a week! I’m sooooooo happy
